Awareness Matters. When the Miles for Marshall 5k event takes place at Patriot's Park in Greenville on September 27, event organizer, Christina Staff, hopes for a large turnout, plenty of sponsors, and to raise thousands of dollars in the fight against pediatric cancer.

5K Trail Run for Childhood Cancer
Life experiences — good, bad, and otherwise — shape who we are and how we view the world going forward. One joyful experience that comes to mind is when my son, Marshall, and I graced the cover of The Healthy Planet in July 2024. We had journeyed across the bi-state region highlighting must-see hiking trails and waterfalls. Another life experience unexpectedly hit just three short months after that issue printed, and we transitioned from navigating nature to navigating cancer treatments.
